AHA First Aid and CPR Classes Scheduled

Several AHA First Aid and CPR classes have been put on the calendar, giving our volunteers an opportunity to use the quieter winter months to renew their expiring First Aid and CPR cards (or to complete the classes for the first time, if needed).

The courses will be held in October and December, providing more than one date option to fit our volunteers' busy schedules and needs. Because this is hands-on training, we will limit class sizes in order to keep a reasonable student-to-equipment ratio. To that end, we are also requiring pre-registration through an online registration form. Below are the class and date options.

First Aid Classes (limit 15 per session) Adult/Ped/Infant CPR Classes (limit 10 per session)
Option 1: Monday, October 9, 6:30 p.m.  (approx 3 hrs)
Option 1: Wednesday, October 11, 6:30 p.m. (approx 3 hrs)

Option 2: Weds, December 13, 6:30 p.m.  (approx 3 hrs)

Option 2: Thursday, December 14, 6:30 p.m. (approx 3 hrs)

All sessions will be held in the training room in the Department of Safety building in Augusta (2100 N. Ohio).

*Note: these courses are intended for current Butler County CERT and Butler County Animal Response Team members. If space allows, however, we may welcome members of the public into the classes as well. The training is free to our volunteers; other attendees are only asked to cover the cost of their student materials ($20). If you have any questions about the classes, please contact Keri Korthals (316-733-9796 or by email).
